Whats in my shotgun cartridge?

24grams of this or 30 grams of that. When I first got into shooting I didn’t know what i was looking for. I believed the bigger the numbers meant the bigger the cartridge but thats not the case. In time you learn about the shot sizes and their applications. For clays i settled for 28 grams of 8 and for game I chose a shot size of 5 and then changed the amount of depending on quarry. Ultimately understanding what you’re going to be shooting will drive your cartridge decision.
